Shai ReshefThe Yale Information Society Project will be joined on September 22 by Shai Reshef, the Founder and President of the University of the People. He will deliver a lecture on “Educating the Many and Not the Few: A Digital Model for Change” at 4:10 p.m. in Room 121 of Yale Law School.

Fast Company named Shai Reshef one of the most creative people in business for 2009. He is an Israeli entrepreneur and the Founder and President of the University of the People. University of the People (UoPeople) is a tuition-free, non-profit online academic institution with a mission to democratize higher education by providing universal access to college via social networking and other Internet tools. In the initial stages, the university will offer coursework in two programs, Business Administration and Computer Science and is seeking accreditation to offer degrees in these areas.

The Yale Information Society Project is a research partner of UoPeople.
